I watched an interesting episode of Dr. Oz yesterday (yes I know, kinda lame) and he had some really good information on there regarding Omega 3 fatty acids. He mentioned that a lot of us are not taking the right fish oil supplements (a high source of Omega 3s).
When shopping for Omega 3s, here are the do's and the do nots:
1. DO buy the Omega 3s that are DHA or EPA labeled.
2. DO NOT buy the fish oil labeled ALA (this is what the majority of Americans are consuming, which is misleading because it has little to no Omega 3 fatty acids within).
Why DHA or EPA?
1. This oil comes from the salmon (highest Omega 3 count) that eat natural algae, which is where the good Omegas come from.
Why NOT ALA?
1. Fish oil labeled as ALA come from salmon that are farm raised and fed with corn meal (no source of Omega 3's at all, but rather Omega 6 oils, which are bad if we consume too many of those.)
So, stick with DHA or EPA labeled fish oils as they will benefit you in the long run due to be packed with many Omega 3s.
Here you will find various items including, but not limited to, politics, comedy, or even my own personal views on different matters within our world. I have interests in a lot of areas, so there is no telling what can be found; the possibilities are truly endless...

Taco Bell's Creamy Jalapeño Sauce

Hey all, here is the recipe I use for making Taco Bell's quesadilla sauce. It's not the exact recipe and it needs to be tweaked a bit, but it's the best one I can find. For mine, I add extra jalapeño juice to mine for a better burn. Friends seem to like it and I've never heard a complaint.
I use this with steak.

Taco Bell Creamy Jalapeno Sauce
For Taco Bell's Chicken Quesadilla
1/4 cup mayonnaise
2 teaspoons minced jalapeno slices
2 teaspoons juice from jalapeno slices
3/4 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
dash salt

Don't search, let them come to you...ERGH
Ok stop, hold up for on second. Do you ever hear the saying, "Don't search for that special someone, let them come to you?" My goodness, I hear it all of the time. As a person who is constantly searching for that proper soul mate, I can't help but hear this statement on a regular basis.
You know what I say to that? BULL
Tonight I had a conversation with a friend who told me just this. I responded by saying: "If I search and let them search, then I have better odds. Think about it...all that talk about 'don't search let them come to you' is all hocus pocus...because either way, someone in the party is always searching." If everyone followed that general rule, then no one would be together.
Think about it for a moment: if a person sits back and waits for someone to find them, won't that take a bit longer? However, if both parties are out searching, wouldn't this increase the odds of finding someone and maybe allow for it to happen faster? So even if that other person is searching, what if they would've simply sat back and waited? But they didn't! They were up and moving. So in turn, if both parties were always in search mode it would increase the chances. Therefore, the phrase "don't search let them come to you" is bologna because there is always someone doing the searching, whether it's you or the other party. If both parties sat back and didn't search, then no one would find each other. So I say, don't listen to that hog wash and go out and find your true love! And don't stop until you find that special someone.
Sitting back will not help you find someone faster. Stopping the search, to me, is simply giving up hope. I refuse to give up...so I continue to search. What would you be missing out on if you simply sat back and waited? You could've passed up the girl/guy of your dreams.

Geocaching Story
So I have recently started treasure hunting, or geocaching to be technical. It's fun! I plan to continue to do this and one day set a geocache of my own! I set out tonight on an adventure and found myself with 2 hopeful finds and 1 unsuccessful attempt. Here is the story:
Today I made 2 official cache finds and 1 unsuccessful. The last one was unsuccessful because the sun was completely down and was too dark for me to see. I ended up walking into a spider web (cut it out you Gwen Stefani lovers) and had a huge spider right on my hat. No worries, I flicked it off folks! I will be trying this one again tomorrow!

Staying True Seems Unreal
In today's society, is it ever possible for people to stay true to one another? It seems like everywhere I go, I hear a new story of how someone has cheated on his/her significant other, whether currently married, in a relationship, or soon to be married.
Is cheating on your significant other something of new to today's age, or is this something that has taken place for years? I would like to read some stories of the past dealing with these types of issues. Perhaps this would help put my mind at ease. Perhaps I could feel a little less disappointed in today's society knowing that this isn't just some new trend.
Why do people cheat? Do they do it to intentionally hurt the other person? I would like to think not. I think people cheat for a few reasons: a) they are hurt/not happy with the person with whom they share a relationship with; b) they just have not found the right person for them; and c) a combo of both. Why not just break up with the person? I think it may be a little more complicated than that. See, it's easier to cheat on someone else than go through the drama of breaking up with someone. This is not to say that all people are cheating on each other, but rather to suggest that this activity is going on amongst some of the masses. What people may fail to realize is that perhaps the aspect of breaking up with someone may eventually be the easiest option so that you are not only saving the other person from hurt, but you are also saving yourself the trouble and pain. I say this to all: just break up with the person! Quit cheating! Easier said than done, right?
The reason I am bantering about this is because today at work, I found out another girl there had cheated on her boyfriend with another guy that we work with. This isn't the first time I've heard this and I'm not saying which party is worse off for this, but I'm just tired of "girls" feeling the need to cheat on their boyfriends and guys cheating on their girlfriends all of the time; it's absolutely absurd. It also makes me angry that this guy I work with sleeps with everyone there!! This is twice in one month that this kid has slept with someone there that is in a relationship or is soon to be married; what gives?? Are these girls super insecure with themselves, or are they just looking for a cheap thrill? I just can't come to understand what is wrong with them. It makes me sick to my stomach that not only is he sleeping with multiple people, who are in relationships, but the fact that there are girls so insecure with themselves that they would come to do this. I'm tired of it and it honestly makes me never want to date anyone in this country; it's disgusting and makes me not want to trust anyone.
Now, as for those girls, I have no idea what their relationships are like (ie good or bad). Either way, does it make it right for them to do this? How do you justify this? Furthermore, how do you stay in the relationship knowing you have done this to your significant other that you supposedly love unconditionally? Is there no shame? Is there no guilt? If you're not happy with the person you're with, or you need more action in your life, then join a whorehouse or something.
Now I am all stirred up and my feathers are in a ruffle!

An Irish Tale of a Leprechaun

Leprechauns are small Irish fairies known as self-appointed guardians of ancient treasure. It is said they bury the treasure in pots located at the end of the rainbow. If caught by mortals he promises you his treasures.
He also carries two pouches. In one he has a silver coin that is magical and returns to his pouch each time it is paid out. In the other pouch there is a gold coin. He uses this coin to bribe his way out of captivity. This coin usually turns to leaves or ashes once he has left. But remember! Never take your eyes off of the Leprechaun for he will disappear in an instant.
